Merry Christmas!

EBFC are festive business as usual over the Christmas holiday, cooking and delivering our daily citywide fresh nutritious meal service to our neighbours with of course Christmas dinners and extra treats!

Outdoor catering for Christmas 2024 and beyond! Christmas dinners with all the trimmings at Saunders House, Muriel House and Robert Lodge – a treat and a triumph, with bingo and comedy too. A great time had by all. 

Thank you to all our amazing volunteers and supporters over the years; supersonic team work from everyone! Our wonderful friends at Whitehawk FC put on a brilliant benefit night, Stand Up For Whitehawk for East Brighton Food Co-op! It was a great night of comedy, showcasing young local comedians from the ‘Made in Whitehawk’ project with The Crew Club & Komedia Productions , brilliant comedy community, arts and footie! Thank you to Mark Thomas, Atilla the Stockbroker, Victoria Melody, The Crew Club, Aneesa Chaudry, Sophie Cook, sign interpreter Pettra St.Hilaire and the amazing Whitehawk Isolators.

Many thanks to Holmansbridge Farm for the 10 beautiful turkeys, these lovely farmers have donated turkeys to EBFC every Christmas for the last 3 years and the fantastic bakers from Sussex Bakedown, thank you all for your tremendous cakes and biscuits! …Bookers, UK Harvest, Nando’s and Just Eat, we salute you, your unstinting support is huge and fantastic. Thank you to everyone for the community support and love from individuals, businesses, funders and BHCC. Here’s to a very bright, healthy future for all! xxx

The East Brighton Food Co-op are spreading 2022 Christmas cheer around the city, roasting the humble and nutritionally packed festive chestnut. These seasonal little beauties, help lower blood pressure, are a slow release carbohydrate, low GI; excellent for helping control diabetes and also packed with minerals and vitamins, including vitamin C and those mighty B vitamins too. Roasted chestnuts are one of the healthiest seasonal snacks and meal compliments you can have, and ours are THE BEST you can get in the UK. We do not do things by halves at the EBFC! We are lucky enough to have the UK’s number 1 Chestnut Man in residence at the EBFC; if you thought you didn’t like chestnuts…think again.
