East Brighton Food Co-operative have been making delicious fresh apple juice on a regular basis and above all using fresh local produce.
As a result our press was a great success at the Save Whitehawk Hill at the beginning of the year.
Graham Love, our local farmer of Greenways Fruit Farm kindly donated over 200 Cox’s apples for this event.
Importantly he also sells produce to us below the market rate so we can carry on making apple juice.
The tasty British Braeburn apple is next to be popped into the press.
Our pilot project is funded by Nesta and the Dunhill Medical Trust’s Social Movement for Health in addition to Causewayed
